A gentle reminder that the annual “Ride and Stride” event takes place this year on Saturday, 9th September.
A big thank you to all those Churches who took part last year helping to raise much needed funds. The Ride & Stride event is, as usual, open to who want to cycle, drive or walk between Churches and Chapels in our area.
It’s so easy to take part, get friends to join in with you too, – a number of churches visited put on refreshments (drinks and/or hot and cold food), so be prepared.

We are fortunate to have such a wide variety of buildings from Grade 1 listed down to smaller independent chapels and/or churches tucked away from the main roads. You could find beautiful architectural features including gargoyles, rood screens, tombs, stained glass, paintings or stunning carvings. Take photographs from your travels and enter the special photo competition or any of the other competitions.
The Heritage Open Day covering other buildings usually coincides with our event and could provide a surprise bonus on your journey.
